Featuring a stylish stainless steel body, operation is as simple as placing your drink cup under the dispenser, pulling the lever and that’s it, no ice scoop needed here! You have crunchy and chewable nugget ice! With a fast ice-making process, your ice bin is filled with up to 1.8 pounds of ice in just one hour and stores as much as 3.3 pounds. Enjoy cold drinks on demand for your whole family or when hosting at home.
This nugget ice machine has a 2.4 liter (0.68 gallons) rear water reservoir that it automatically draws from during ice production - this can be filled through the flip-top lid when attached to the machine or can be removed and filled under a faucet tap (no water line connections available for this product). If any ice melts over time, it’s redirected to the water reservoir to refill with a new batch.
In addition to the ice dispensing lever, this ice machine is equipped with a five-level ice quantity indicator that keeps you informed of how much remains in the storage basket. You also get three indicator lights that tell you when the ice maker is low on water, making ice, or in the middle of a cleaning process.
What is nugget ice? Commonly referred to as sonic ice, It’s a type of ice that’s described as chewy and pellet or pebble-like in nature. Unlike ice cubes, it has more of a crushed ice quality and shape leading to a more soft, chewable ice experience. When playing bartender at home, nugget ice is great for making beautiful drinks and smoothies. Creating clear ice, our self-dispensing version is among the best nugget ice makers that combine quality and satisfying operation.
NOTE: Please allow for extra time during the initial ice-making process out of the box. We recommended letting the machine sit for 4-24 hours before first use to let the internal coolant settle. In addition to performing a cleaning cycle before first use, fill the water reservoir and fully drain via the drain plugs for optimal performance going forward.
Your first batch of ice may take up to 1-2 hours depending on temperatures around the machine. For example, in summer it may take closer to 2 hours, and in winter closer to 1 hour. After this first initial run of ice-making, the machine will operate normally going forward. If you see blue and white flashing lights, the unit is working on making your next batch of ice.
IMPORTANT- Please ensure the rear water reservoir is fully installed and inserted into the water inlet. A loose water reservoir may allow for some water leakage if not installed properly.
