There are generally three main reasons people look forward to Super Bowl Sunday: the game, the food and, of course, the party. From big screen TV’s, football shaped treats, to Super Bowl commercial games, these DIY ideas will take your Super Bowl party to championship status in a matter of minutes.
Touchdown Worthy Eats
Rice Cereal Footballs– Put a spin on the classic rice cereal treats by substituting chocolate flavored rice cereal for regular. After you have made the mixture, form football shaped treats on wax paper with your plastic glove covered hands. Once you have formed your footballs, add the laces with some store bought vanilla frosting.
Football Pizza– Whether you are ordering pizzas for the gang, or baking your own, easily continue your football theme by arranging the pepperoni in the shape of a football in the middle of the pizza. To create the laces, cut strips of mozzarella cheese and place on top of the pepperoni. Place the pizza back into the oven just long enough for the cheese to melt.
Strawberry Footballs- Create some yummy footballs from large, luscious strawberries dipped in chocolate melts. Simply rinse and dry your strawberries leaving on the stems. Then melt the chocolate in a microwave and dip each strawberry up to the stem. Place the dipped strawberries on parchment paper to harden. Once solid, pipe melted white chocolate chips onto strawberries to create laces.
Cheer Worthy Decorations
DIY Football Beverage Tub: Add some fun to your party with this beverage tub that provides entertainment as well as cold drinks. All you need for this DIY project is a beverage tub, 2 feet of artificial turf, white duct tape, scissors, white painter’s tape, small PVC pipe cut into 5 pieces to make goal post straight pieces as shown, 2 PVC elbows, 1 PVC tee piece, 2 caps, and yellow spray paint. Your guests can actually use the goal to practice their field goal “kicking” with bottle lids or paper footballs.
Football Field Table Cover- Make your serving table look like a real football field. Paint stripes on artificial turf with craft or spray paint, and use stencils to paint on the numbers. If you are really ambitious, you can even use a darker shade of green to paint every other 10th yard.
Football Utensil Holders- Use mason jars painted as a football, referee, football field and football game plan chalkboard to hold your utensils and straws. Start by painting the jars in 2 coats of primer white, and letting them dry overnight in between coats. For the football game plan chalkboard jar, give it two coats of black acrylic paint. Let dry overnight between coats. Using a white paint marker, draw on your x’s and o’s and arrows. For referee and field, tape vertical or horizontal painter’s tape on jar and paint with black or green paint. For the football, tape off lace lines, and paint with brown. Let all jars dry overnight and seal with a clear spray sealant.
Let the Games Begin
Big Game, Big TV & Big Fun-While everyone watches the fast action of the big game on the Sony 65-inch Class 4K Ultra HD TV from Buydig.com, pass out some games that can be played to liven up the party. Print these awesome free BINGO games on cardstock and cut them out for your party. We know everyone looks forward to the commercials as well. So why not use these free cards to have fun voicing your opinions about the commercials this year buy rating them 1 (the worst) to 5 (the best) or a ? (what was that all about?). Simply print and glue them to large craft sticks. Just make sure you use the Samsung 2.1 Channel 120 Watt Audio Soundbar with Bluetooth to add rich, dynamic audio so you are able to feel the power behind the tackles, and of course the sounds of the halftime entertainment.
The Super Bowl is as much about the gathering as it is the game. Kick off Super Bowl Sunday with a fun party. Don’t forget themed treats, décor and games that will make the party a blast.
