There are new releases from Nikon, including two new fantastic Nikkor Z lenses in the Nikkor Z lens roadmap. The Nikkor Z 180-600mm f/5 and the Nikon NIKKOR Z 70-180mm f/2.8. The NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR is a great budget telephoto lens option for those shooters who want to capture wildlife, nature, landscapes, moving objects and more. These two new lenses from Nikon have fantastic telephoto zoom capability and are priced affordably. If you are a photography enthusiast, then these new lenses are for you. These lenses are quite an upgrade over the Nikkor Z DX lens which is more of a pancake type lens.
Both of these new lenses are Nikon Z-mount lenses, in the Z series lenses for z cameras. However they can be used on an other DSLR cameras, like Nikon F-mount cameras or for example on the the E mount system from Sony or mounts to Canon Cameras. If you would like to mount these new fantastic lenses on a different mount for the Z mount lenses, you may need a lens mounting adapter to ensure conformity and use ability.

Nikkor Z 70-180mm f/2.8
The The Nikon Z Nikkor Z 70-180mm f/2.8 70-180mm Telephoto Zoom lens differing from a wide-angle lens is remarkably lightweight and ergonomic making it easy for travel and ease of use. The lens weights in at just 28.04 oz. (795 g). It also sits on the patented Nikon Z Mount found in the z system of lenses from Nikon. Both of these new lenses are Nikon Z-mount lenses, they can however be used on an F-Mount camera. If you would like to mount these new fantastic lenses on a different mount for the Z mount lenses, you may need an adapter to use with a different mount.
The new NIKKOR Z 70-180mm f/2.8 appears to be a great option for shooters looking for a fast and affordable telephoto zoom lens. The NIKKOR Z 70-180mm f/2.8 joins the recently released 28-75mm f/2.8 and 17-28mm f/2.8, lenses from Nikon, completing the trio of affordable and compact f/2.8 zooms lenses.
The new NIKKOR Z 70-180mm f/2.8 is approximately 40% smaller than the NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8, but offers a similar versatile focal length. When photographing and looking for that great Bokeh effect, this is the lens that will produce that effect in stunning clarity.

The Nikkor Z 180-600mm F/5 is a 180-600mm Super-Telephoto Zoom lens. Sitting on the patented Nikon Z mount frame, the NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR lens takes past the reach of standard prime lenses and and telephoto zoom lenses, making the most distant shots easy to capture, even for beginners. This new lens offers incredible zoom range from 180-600mm.
When set at it’s widest setting, the NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR is great for honing in on your subject or object. With just a quarter turn of the zoom ring on this new lens, you can reach all the way to 600mm for tight framing with beautiful background compression. So don’t worry about the distance from you to your subject when shooting.
The NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR is among the lightest super-telephoto zoom lenses in its class. It weighs in at 68.96 oz. (1955 g). Regardless of the size and zoom capabilities of this new lens, when placing it next to comparable models in it’s class, you should be able to carry this lens with relative ease of use.
This new lens is even more of an evolution from the other recently announced new lens from Nikon the Z 70-180mm f/2.8 by achieving a focal length of up to 600mm. Easily track your subject with subject tracking. Subject tracking, Autofocus Lock, image playback and more can be mapped to two conveniently placed L-Fn buttons on the Nikkor Z 180-600mm F/5 lens.
It also contains smooth, precise and click less control ring. This allows for manually adjusting focus, aperture, ISO or exposure compensation.
The Nikkor Z 180-600mm f/5lens supports up to 5.5 stops of vibration reduction and has a minimum focus distance of 1.3m (4.3 ft). The zoom ring allows for quick zooming between extreme focal lengths. The 180-600mm F5.6-6.3 VR is compatible with Nikon’s TC-1.4x and TC-2.0x teleconverters (tc vr s), allowing for a reach of up to 1200mm.
The Nikkor Z 70-180mm F2.8 is the third lens in Nikon’s trio of affordable F2.8 zoom lenses, joining the Z 17-28mm F2.8 and Z 28-75mm F2.8 zoom lenses in Nikon’s lineup. Nikon says it’s optimal for events like weddings, portrait shoots, sports and video recording.
Its optical formula consists of 19 elements in 14 groups, including five ED elements, one Super ED element, and three aspherical elements. Nikon says it’s about 40% smaller than its Z 70-200mm F2.8 zoom (albeit with slightly less reach at the telephoto end), and at 795g (1.75 lbs) it’s about half the weight.
