With the holidays just around the corner, that means 2017 is already nearing the end. Don’t worry, there’s still enough time to squeeze in those New Year’s resolutions that you didn’t get to, or to make a few new goals you want to reach. Here are some tasks you can add to your last-minute bucket list before 2018.
- Volunteer
The remaining part of the year should give you the opportunity to put your life into perspective. Find a way to help others along the way. Whether it is by volunteering to serve food at a soup kitchen or helping at-risk high schoolers, there are always ways you can reach out to make another person smile.
- Read a book
Finally read that book you started but never finished. Even if you just stay awake 5-10 extra minutes at night, you still have time to finish that book before New Year’s Eve!
- Get away for the weekend
Pack your Samsonite Winfield 2 HS Spinner from Buydig.com and take an impulsive weekend trip to a new city or to a cabin in the woods. You can still do something that will make you feel alive before the year ends. - Discover yourself
Take a day to unplug and focus on your emotional and mental needs. You may have been so busy at work and with your kids that you never had time to be with yourself. - Reach out to loved ones
It’s the perfect time for you to reach out to those loved ones you haven’t been in touch with for a while. Let them know how much you appreciate them for being in your world. Catching up via Skype or Facetime on your tablet or laptop, are great ways you can use technology to contact your loved ones. - Get out of your comfort zone
Start simple with something like trying a new look on your next night out or trying a new workout. - Take care of your body
Eliminate one unhealthy habit for the rest of the year. - Improve your health
Engage in activities that will improve your physical well-being. Set a small weekly goal for the rest of the year. It could be as simple as drinking more water or walking 10 minutes a day. A pair of Klipsch R6 Neckband Earbuds with Bluetooth will make the walk even more enjoyable and help the time pass faster. - Vegetate
Treat yourself to a day of binge watching on your 43 inch LG 4K HDR Smart LED TV from Buydig.com complete with pajamas and a multitude of snacks. - Educate yourself
Learn something new, whether it’s a simple DIY project or a new language. - Visit somewhere new
Use your Garmin GPS System to help you check out that museum, park or restaurant that’s been on your list. - Tidy up
Clean out that closet you’ve been meaning to get to since spring. - Make a donation
Donate belongings you don’t need or use anymore.
Keep a journal to measure your progress towards these or any other goals you have for the rest of the year. A journal helps you to know how far you have come. With writing you can alleviate your stress. You will also have reasons to be thankful for the things you have accomplished before the arrival of 2018.
