Spring is a busy time with spring sports beginning and dance recital practices. Not to mention spring break planning and all that gardening needing attention. Now it’s almost time to get ready for Easter egg hunts and the arrival of the big bunny too! We are here to help make your life a little easier . Here are some Easter food hacks that will make the holiday run smoothly. Also, adding some extra fun along the way.
Peep S’mores– Use some of those leftover peeps to make s’mores. Just add the usual chocolate bar and graham cracker to these colorful marshmallow favorites, and pop into the Panasonic Microwave Oven for 10-15 seconds each.
Easter Egg Popsicles– Use a nail to poke a hole into the bottom of a plastic egg. Then, use an icing/piping tip as a funnel, and fill the egg with fruit juice. Place the filled egg in an empty egg carton, then poke a round popsicle stick into the hole, and freeze until firm or overnight.
Mini Cheesecake Nests– Use some of those mini chocolate egg-shaped candies for these mini cheesecakes for the perfect ending to your Sunday Easter dinner. Find the recipe for these perfect sized little desserts here.
Chocolate-Dipped Strawberry Carrots– Dip strawberries into warm candy melts, refrigerate, and then drizzle with more orange candy melts for these adorable strawberry “carrots”.
Peep Pops– While you’re melting chocolate, why not dip a few of those Peeps in some and cover them with sprinkles for the kids to enjoy.
Egg-Shaped Cereal Treats– A colorful twist on the marshmallow crispy treats we all love. This easy Easter recipe for kids is a fun way to celebrate spring and all its fresh colors. Simply follow the same directions you would for the original crispy treats. Except, substitute a colorful puffed rice cereal for the natural colored cereal. After it is all melted and mixed, pack the mixture into cooking spray coated plastic Easter egg halves and close them. Let them set for at least one hour before opening and removing the treats.
Nutter Butter Chicks– Make these adorable little chicks out of Nutter Butter cookies by dipping them in yellow candy melts. Apply faces with black decorating gel, and half of an orange tic-tac for the beak.
Pretzel Chicks- These Easter pretzel chick treats are such an easy snack to whip up, and they are so cute and tasty too. Just set pretzels on a wax paper lined cookie sheet. Melt some yellow candy melts in the microwave, and pipe into the center of each pretzel. Cut diagonals from orange Starburst candies to add beaks. Then place a mini chocolate chip on each chick for its eye. Place in the refrigerator to chill and harden.
Deviled Eggs with a Twist– Why have plain white hard-boiled eggs as the base of your deviled eggs this Easter. Liven your table up this year with some colorful eggs by dying the whites. Boil the eggs in your Cuisinart Multiclad Pro Stainless Cookware from Buydig.com and peel the eggs as usual. After removing the yolks, dye the whites in food coloring as you would your regular Easter eggs. Let them dry before filling with yummy deviled egg filling.
Bunny Rolls- Easter dinner wouldn’t be complete without rolls of course. This helpful hack is a fun and easy way to make bunny rolls by simply snipping two ears at the top of your dinner rolls before baking in your Cuisinart Toaster Oven from Buydig.com.
These hacks will add some creativity and fun to your Easter this year, while helping save a little precious time as well.
