Graduation Party 411

June 21, 2017 by BuyDig Team Leave a Comment

It’s an exciting time in life to celebrate the graduation of your son or daughter! Why not throw them a grad party that they, as well as family and friends, will never forget! It can be a little overwhelming to plan a big party of any kind but a graduation party can be especially tedious because you want it to be special and represent your child’s accomplishment. We have some great decorating, food, and fun graduation party ideas to make the planning part easier for college, high school and even preschool graduations.

Decorations
When deciding on decorations for your party, you can use your child’s school colors or go with a central theme to center the decorations, invitations, food and desserts around.

Use School Colors
Use the graduate’s high school or future college colors for decorating inspiration. Tablecloths, napkins, cups and balloons in the two school colors will create a festive and fun atmosphere.

Dr. Seuss Inspired Party
Design a party theme based on Dr. Seuss’ Oh, the Places You’ll Go! for the grad who’s young at heart. Whimsical yet worldly, the theme will please partygoers of all ages. Fill treat bags with globe-shaped candies for guests to take home.

Sail Away Theme
Everything is red, white and blue for this theme. Use nautical pieces for your decorations to represent your grad’s upcoming departure to a new adventure. Place a sign-in station by the door so guests can leave a farewell note or gift for the graduate. You can decorate with globes and maps and have items that reflect where they are going.

Your Future is Bright
Give out sunglasses as favors or just as an accent for your graduation bash.

Entertainment
Whether you are hosting a more laid-back outdoor party or a formal party inside a fancy venue, here are some games to choose from to help break the ice, or simply entertain your guests.

Backyard Dominoes
A backyard bash isn’t complete without a competitive outdoor game. Make these oversized wood dominoes for a casual graduation gathering to keep guests entertained for hours.

Outdoor Twister
Simply paint a replica of a Twister sheet onto your lawn.

Murder Mystery
Organize your own murder mystery dinner or hire professionals to do it for you.

Caterpillar Cupcakes
This darling cupcake display is easy to assemble and bake in a Cuisinart Toaster Convection Oven from Buydig.com, and would be the perfect addition to any kindergarten or preschool graduation party.

Diploma Cookies
Surprise the guests with these cookies that contain fortunes that you can write out yourself.

Giant Krispie Mortar Board
Bursting with chocolate flavor, this giant treat can be made quickly using only a microwave from Buydig.com, a freezer and these instructions.

Use these fun ways to get creative with your graduation party, and enjoy celebrating as your child moves onto the next chapter in their life.
